This policy sets out how we use Social Media, and will tell you what you can expect from us if you follow Sir Quentin Blake's official accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.
Sir Quentin Blake's social media accounts are managed by the team in Sir Quentin Blake's office on his behalf. We do not use any automation to post content, such as tools that generate tweets from RSS feeds. If you follow us, you can generally expect no more than 10 tweets, posts or pins a day at this time, usually less, covering the following:
- alerts about new content relating to Quentin Blake on digital channels (news, publications, opening social media channels, publicity campaigns, etc)
- alerts about new content relating to arts (primarily illustration) or charitable concerns supported by Sir Quentin.
- occasional live coverage of events
We follow organisations and public individuals which share or represent Sir Quentin's interests as an illustrator and in art, literature and education. They include (but are not exclusively limited to) other artists, authors and publishers with whom Sir Quentin has worked and charitable organisations which he supports. We do not automatically follow back new followers. Due to resources, we infrequently review our follower list. Being followed back does not imply endorsement of any kind.
We will update and monitor our social media accounts during office hours, Monday to Friday. Twitter and Facebook may occasionally be unavailable and we accept no responsibility for lack of service due to third party downtime.
@Replies, Direct Messages, Comments
We welcome feedback from all our followers and endeavour to join the conversation where possible. However, we are not able to reply individually to all the messages we receive. The team at Sir Quentin Blake's office reads all posts, comments, @replies and Direct Messages. We do not engage on issues of party politics or answer questions which may infringe Sir Quentin's personal privacy. Social media users should be aware that Sir Quentin does not reply to messages in person, so we regret that requests of this kind are not responded to.
