Quentin reveals which books and authors he most enjoys reading
In a question-and-answer session, Quentin Blake discusses the books he is currently reading, both to himself - in French, as well as English - and reading books aloud to a friend whlst she draws.  Interviewed by The Arts Desk, 'An Open Book' delves into the illustrator's literary tastes.

Citing Charles Dickens as his favourite author 'to re-read', he lists Bleak House, Little Dorrit and Great Expectations among those that he has read many times, as well as noting Arnold Bennett and Terry Pratchett (for 'memorable entertainment').

Asked whether a book or poem has affected his outlook on life, Quentin didn't name one single item but commented, 'cumulatively ... they have made all the difference in the world.  That must be one main reason why I read.'
