Exclusive Quentin Blake 'Wave of Hope' colouring sheet

Friday 28th May 2021

As a supporter of Project Everyone Quentin has created inspirational new artworks, joining other much-loved illustrators and a host of UK charities to help spread a 'Wave of Hope' across the UK.

In 2021, the UK will host two critical summits, the G7 in Cornwall in June and the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow in November.  With the world facing challenges such as Covid, injustice, climate change and nature crisis, UK decision-makers have an opportunity to demonstrate their leadership at home and abroad.

That is why 75 charities and organisations from across the UK, advocating for a better future for people and planet, have come together in a new coalition, 'Crack the Crises'.  Their aim is to bring people together to tackle these crises by taking individual actions, by supporting others and by asking decision-makers to act.

By joining Britain’s biggest charities in the Wave of Hope, you can tell politicians that we want them to work together for a better world.  Help spread the Wave of Hope across the UK with the help of the nation’s favourite illustrators, including Quentin Blake, Lauren Child, Diane Ewen, Jim Field and Nick Sharratt.

You can download an 'Art Toolkit' from Crack the Crises website, print and decorate the illustrations, or design your own waving hand to put in your window. Colouring sheets by the five iconic illustrators will also be available to pick up in Waterstone's stores across the UK.

And don't forget to share your creations on the Wave of Hope gallery on the Crack the Crises website!
