Quentin Blake talk at Sidcup Library, 25 June

Friday 21st June 2013

Quentin returned to Sidcup, where he grew up, to give a talk at the Library to a capacity crowd.
Tickets were all snapped up for the event, which was run by the Library to celebrate the town's connection with the well-know illustrator.  In his talk, aimed at adults, Quentin discussed his recent work for hospitals and public spaces, many of which appear in his 2012 autobiography 'Beyond the Page'.

Quentin had already made his mark on the Library with a 'Quentin Blake Corner' and the specially-comissioned dragon mural which he drew in 2007 (see picture).

See Sidcup Library's website for more information about this and the activities which are planned with other authors
