Quentin Blake limited-edition print launched by the House of Illustration

Monday 16th April 2012

The House of Illustration is now giving supporters the chance to own a specially-commissioned limited-edition print by Quentin Blake. 'The Illustration Creature' (2011) is a high-quality giclee print produced on Aquarelle Arches 300gsm paper. Each print has been signed by the artist and is embossed by the House of illustration.

Prints are priced at £250 and can be bought directly from the House of Illustration website: www.houseofillustration.org.uk/shop.  Money raised from the  sale of these prints goes towards funding this exciting new venue dedicated to the art of illustration.

Also available are limited-edition prints from the succesful exhibition 'What are you like?'  This exhibition, first opened at Dulwich Picture Gallery in 2008, takes a Victorian parlour game as inspiration for the works produced for it: 45 people in the public eye contributed a work which shows 12 of their favourite things - food, comfort, aversion, clothing, etc - with results that are as varied as they are engaging.  'What are you Like?' has toured a number of venues in the UK, most recently showing (until 1 February 2012) in the Collyer Bristow Gallery at Bedford Row in London.
