Quentin becomes a Patron of The Kids Network charity

London charity The Kids Network has the support of much-loved illustrator Quentin Blake, who has generously agreed to become its Patron - having helped to fund an expansion of its pioneering mentorship programme. The charity, founded in 2016, pairs underprivileged children with young professionals who spend time with them and act as role models.
The Kids Network’s founder, Sarah Woodcock, said: “I wrote him a letter asking for support and he replied offering to help. What we want to do is build a sense of community, and help young people reach their potential.” Children benefitting from The Kids Network's activities have enjoyed a Quentin Blake-themed drawing workshop (pictured above)
Quentin Blake said: ““We all want to help open children’s minds to the possibilities of life, both practical and imaginative.”
The charity is looking for more young professionals throughout London who would be willing to volunteer to mentor children.
