Quentin Blake and fellow illustrators support 'HiFest'
Quentin was one of many illustrators at the event held at Sussex Coast College last weekend, lending his support to the thriving illustration community based on the south coast. Quentin rubbed shoulders with many illustrator friends and former colleagues who came to enjoy the atmosphere in the busy Atrium at the College (pictured). A wealth of stalls and talks showcased illustrative talent, much of which is based in Hastings and the neighbouring area.
Quentin commented, "I have done lots of illustration work in Hastings over the past thirty years. It's an art form I find endlessly interesting, so I'm delighted that Hastings illustrators have put themselves in the spotlight, not only to show how they do it, but as a focus for other young illustrators and designers,"
