Quentin supports Freedom from Torture auction 2018

Friday 16th November 2018

Quentin has again supported Freedom from Torture's annual fundraising event, this year titled: 'Freedom: Not Juat Another Word', by donating an original piece of artwork for the charity auction on 15 November.  Titled 'Flight' (pictured above) it depicts a large bird flying free of the barbs below it.
The piece was listed as Lot 1 and raised a total of £2,000 before bidding closed at 9.45pm.  It was joined by literary lots from a host of authors, artists and poets; bidders could vie for a chance to name a character in a new novel, offered by several authors such as Margaret Attword, Joanna Trollope and Lee Child; a signed screenplay donated by Dame Helen Mirren;  or to have a portrait done by former children’s laureate Chris Riddell.
The final total of all lots exceeded £11,000.
