Quentin Blake works daily in his London studio, creating everything from narrative drawings to books and large-scale installations.  House of Illustration has now dedicated its 'Quentin Blake Gallery' into a space to give visitors a glimpse into his working world, offering an up-to-date showcase of his prolific projects as they happen.

From the Studio opens with a characteristically wide variety of work including recent publications, forthcoming books, large-scale personal works and preparatory drawings for public art commissions, including a selection of beautiful colour illustrations for John Ruskin’s only children’s book The King of the Golden River,  as well as drawings from two titles for a forthcoming series – collectively known as 'The QB Papers' -  to be published in August.

Quentin's work for the Moonlight Travellers started out as a personal exploratory series of large-scale paintings for an exhibition on the these of travel, but is now set to be published in book-form in August: two works, previously unseen by the public, are included in the display, as are some of his murals for Sheffield Children's Hospital which were unveiled earlier this year.

The From the Studio display will change periodically so watch out for updates as Quentin continues to create new and exciting work.
