Quentin Blake & John Yeoman: 50 Years of Children's Books is the first ever exhibition to celebrate Quentin Blake’s five-decade long partnership with celebrated author John Yeoman. First exhibited at House of Illustration in 2017, it continues its tour at Derby Museum and Art Gallery in 2021.

These lifelong friends have created more books together than Quentin has with any other author, including Roald Dahl.
The exhibition includes work from their most recent collaboration, All the Year Round, which was published by Andersen Press to coincide with the exhibition's original run at House of Illustration.

It also includes illustrations from A Drink of Water, Quentin and John's very first collaboration and Quentin's first ever illustrations for a children’s book, originally published in 1960 and reissued in 2017 by Thames & Hudson.

The exhibition features artwork from a further 10 projects Quentin and John have worked on together – from picture books and short novels for children to adaptations of classic folk tales.

The show includes illustrations from the following books: The Boy Who Sprouted Antlers; Mouse Trouble; The Fabulous Foskett Family Circus; Quentin Blake’s Amazing Animal Stories; The World’s Laziest Duck and other Amazing Records; The Hermit and the Bear; Featherbrains; The Heron and the Crane; Sixes and Sevens; and Up with Birds.
