Michael Morpurgo is one of Britain's best-loved stroy makers and the authors of some of the most loved children's books.  This unique exhibition showcases the notebooks and manuscripts that have become classics, including War Horse, Kensuke's Kingdom and Farm Boy.

Also on display in the characteristically playful exhibition from Seven Stories in Newcastle (where the exhibition was first shown in 2016) are photographs and correspondence that chronicle the author's creative process and writing career.  Artwork from many of the illustrators who have contributed to his books, including Quentin Blake (Cock Crow, On Angel Wings) and Patrick Benson is on show, alongside props from stage and film which have brought Michael Morpurgo's remarkable stories to life.
