A Moment of Doubt
These A4 portraits of perturbed grotesques were drawn in chinagraph pencil, in early March 2020. As the title page records, Quentin was sitting in the chair in his studio when he drew them, taking just three-quarters of an hour to produce the 12 artworks in the set.
